It’s a valid question: what is so great about Social House Vodka?
A close friend asked me this recently, so here’s your answer.
Social House Vodka sits on four pillars. You’ve probably picked up on a few of them: social, authentic, local, and sustainable. You might wonder why quality isn’t in there. That’s because to make an impact and gain an audience, one has to do something new or better. We’ve created a genuinely great vodka, one with as much character as you.
We are Social. We are dedicated to establishing a broad community of friends who share experiences, hopes, aspirations, and build their life together — this is what family and friendship are about. This is real. These moments may be fleeting, but the powerful memories can last a lifetime. Good times with friends can happen anywhere—and the effect can have a lasting impact. At Social House Vodka, our mission is to encourage and create these moments and the special power that they hold.
We are Authentic. Authenticity is at the core of everything we do—it is the common thread connecting all the pieces. From the friendships we have to the moments we create, the genuine way in which we live is no different than how we make our vodka. We know that staying true to who we are is paramount in making the best American vodka on the market. Beyond that, we equally understand that fostering authenticity and transparency as a company, inside and out, is how we build trust.
We are Local. Beyond just sourcing our ingredients, we support our communities and focus on making them stronger. That’s one of the reasons we are opening our distillery in Kinston. We want to be a part of the small town renaissance happening right now. We’re doing just that through job creation, outreach events, and actively participating in responsible drinking programs. Charitable giving of our time and profit will be an essential part of genuine community engagement and support. You’ll hear more about that soon.
We are Sustainable. We’re committed to sourcing local, sustainably-farmed ingredients and producing our vodka with a minimal carbon footprint. Starting with water, we source on-site from the Black Creek aquifer (known for its purity). In 2019, our distillery will be a net-zero facility, powered by excess organic material —any additional surplus will be given back to farmers. We strive to leave the world better than we found it.
To quote Brené Brown, “Courage, the original definition of courage, when it first came into the English language — it’s from the Latin word ‘cor’ meaning ‘heart’ — and the original definition was to tell the story of who you are with your whole heart.” I guess you could say above all else, we have a fifth pillar. We are Courageous. We are telling you the story of who we are with our whole heart. Be courageous with us. Share you Social House Moment with us.
